Well-being –
a good life for everyone
The city’s key task is to promote the well-being of
its residents. Early support, a positive atmosphere,
and an encouraging attitude toward seeking help are
essential. A smiling resident and a helpful neighbour
are the hallmarks of a healthy community. Diverse
cultural and sports services, a clean environment,
and well-functioning public transport support all
Kaarina residents’ health and quality of life.
Education and training – right
and opportunity
High-quality early childhood education and teaching
create the foundation for a good life. Every child
and young person deserves a safe, encouraging
learning environment that considers their individual
needs. Qualified staff, smaller class sizes, healthy
school buildings, and nutritious local food support
children’s and young people’s growth and develop-
ment.
Vitality –
the cornerstone of well-being
The key to our city’s success is wide-ranging
co-operation, creating a pleasant environment for
businesses and residents. A caring employment
policy, successful integration, and support for
businesses of all sizes strengthen our city’s vitality.
A healthy business environment offers jobs and
diverse services to all city residents.
Sustainable development –
taking responsibility for life
Kaarina aims to be carbon-neutral by 2030. To
achieve this goal, we Greens take concrete actions
that combine ecological responsibility, social justice,
and economic sustainability. The city demonstrates
environmental responsibility through its procure-
ment policies and support of local operators.
Biodiversity protection, clean waterways, and pleas-
ant green spaces form the foundation of Kaarina’s
living environment.
A stable economy, democracy,
and crisis preparedness
Careful financial management, transparent decision-
making, and wise preparation for future challenges
will ensure the well-being of Kaarina’s people in the
long term. We respect what is already beautiful and
valuable whilst boldly developing our city further –
for the benefit of all residents.
Our green values shine through in Kaarina’s
preserved seas and forests, safe school routes, and
vibrant neighbourhoods. Together, we are building
a city where people, animals and nature can flourish.
